I was expecting something like Mystic River, but the action makes this movie feel more upbeat. I'm not sure what the messages are...Trust your brother? Revenge is good thing? Happy workers are loyal workers? Detroit is not a great place to visit in the winter? Lots of guns, lots of snappy comebacks, and car chases keep this movie exciting. Also there is a Fargo-esque scene on a frozen lake.
I give this movie 3/5 acorns.
