This movie is based on a Clive Barker story. It is not as well polished as the Hellraiser movies and not as endearing as my favorite, Nightbreed. Ole Rawhead himself is a pretty good monster and he manages to rip up a quite of few of the local residents of a very small town. The parish has some very unkindly clergy but then it is built on a very old secret. The pushy American and his family is there to study antiquities. I Will rate this 2.5/5 acorns.
