V is for Vendetta, Review
According to Guy-fawkes.com :
in 1605, Guy Fawkes and a group of co-conspirators attempted to blow up King James 1 and the Houses of Parliament in what has become known as the Gunpowder Plot. Before they were able to carry out their plan they were caught, and subsequently tortured and executed.
V is a futuristic reenactment of this historic event. The world has changed drastically and Britain is ruled by a twisted tyrant playied exceedingly well by John Hurt, and his cronnies. Natalie Portman's character gets caught up in the whole plot when she is saved by V after getting caught by the unsavory "fingers" after curfew.
This movie was very well done. It is dark, well-acted and the special effects are no over-done.
I will rate it 4.5/5 acorns.
